Quattordio Urban Art Festival

This Sunday, we took a trip to Quattordio, a small town in Piedmont that transforms into an open-air museum every year for its iconic Urban Art Festival. True to form, we came back with a camera full of photos—here’s a glimpse of the vibrant murals and creative energy we found.

Why Quattordio?

This town’s industrial heritage makes it the perfect canvas: home to PPG’s historic automotive coatings plant (once IVI Spa), Quattordio has been dubbed the “Italian Capital of Color” since 1984, when it hosted America’s graffiti pioneers like Delta 2 and Phase 2, who used local industrial paints for Italy’s first-ever wall graffiti.

Today, the festival honors that legacy, blending new works by Italian and international artists with restored historical pieces. Think of it as a living timeline of street art’s evolution!

P.S. If you’re curious about the festival’s backstory, this article dives deeper into its “celebration of color”. Here instead the official website of the town.
